Not a cloud left in the sky… two points, and Google-ing doesn’t count!
I overslept a little this morning, but the world is still intact as far as I can tell. My coffee maker, on the other hand, is being very temperamental. It sprayed hot coffee all over the kitchen (and drenched my sweet potatoes). Poor Jalene not only woke up and smelled the coffee, but I was being quite loud in the kitchen trying to clean it up. Whoops!
My oatmeal was yummy and more our less soundless:
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/2 cup soy milk
- 1 tsp flax
- 1 tsp light coconut milk
- 1/2 banana
- hazelnuts & cashews
- brown sugar
After discovering the deliciousness of coco-cocoa this weekend, one of these days, when I’m feeling wild and crazy, I might sub light coconut milk in for regular milk or water in my oatmeal. Doesn’t that sound delicious?
I’ve been experimenting with coffee creamers and this morning used a little kefir. Like soy milk, it didn’t mix in all the way, and had a predictably sour taste. I probably wouldn’t do this again, because despite its thickness, my coffee didn’t end up being any creamier.
