Another horrible night of sleep. I won’t bore you with the details, but that’s why “breakfast” is once again at 11:15 on a schoolday!
Around 12:30 last night I tried the hot milk trick:
This morning I tried out my own version of Angela’s famous Green Monster:
- 1/2 cup skim milk
- 1/4 cup pomegranate juice
- 2 large handfuls spinach
- 1 tsp flax
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 4 small strawberries
I rescued the almond butter that got stuck in the spoon with a mission fig. Leave no nutty goodness behind!

It tasted pretty good! I’m always weary about having smoothies for breakfast… I think I need to chew on something for my brain to recognize that I’ve eaten a meal. But, since it’s so late, I’ll probably be eating lunch in two hours so this is just fine!
